Prerequisites

caGrid 1.2 requires the following software:

• Java 1.5.0.22 JDK
• Ant 1.6.5

• caGrid Globus 4.0.3

• (Optional) If you want to deploy services to tomcat, you will need Tomcat 5.0.28
  • Other versions of tomcat will work, but they aren't officially supported (read:tested) by caGrid.
• (Optional) If you are deploying caGrid core services locally, you may also need a MySQL database. *NOTE:*MySQL is only required for the security services and GME. You can use 4.x (with transaction enabled; i.e. use InnoDB engine) or 5.x (except with GME).

The caGrid Installer will install all of these prerequisites except for Java and MySQL.
